Deepak Punia becomes fourth Indian to qualify for Tokyo Olympics
Deepak Punia became the fourth Indian wrestler to seal a spot in Tokyo Olympics, scheduled to take place in 2020. Deepak won the tense match against Colombia’s Carlos Arturo Mendez with 7-6 in 86 kg semi-finals in the World Wrestling Championships in Nur Sultan on Saturday. He will now clash with Switzerland’s Stefan Reichmuth for a place in the gold medal match.
